These American hammocks are among the Tropilex top sellers. The exclusive North American style of these spreader bar hammocks always looks striking. Also, the 'American' and 'Vegas' are padded and therefore extra comfortable. All in combination with the supplied pillow!
The padded fabric is weatherproof and quick-drying. In terms of look & feel, it's very similar to cotton. The spreader bars of these hammocks are made from luxury Shorea wood (100% FSC).
Large 'Vegas' and smaller 'American'
The 'Vegas' hammock is the larger of these two American brothers. You can hang the 'Vegas' hammock in any Tropilex family hammock stand. This means you can lie anywhere you like in the garden, and it'll look fantastic, too.
The 'American' hammock is about 20 cm less wide and 50 cm shorter than the 'Vegas'. Still nice and spacious, and ideal for the smaller garden. The 'American' hammock fits into any Tropilex double hammock stand.
Both padded hammocks are delivered with a pillow for optimal comfort.

A special dipping bath smooths out the bumps, and the wood is made weather-resistant. Using chains to hang the hammock makes it easy to vary the suspension length. These chains are supplied with the stand!
Note: When choosing a hammock for this stand, take into account the total length of the hammock! For example, if this length is 3.5 meters, you also need a stand with a minimum length of 3.5 meters. Almost all stands are adjustable, so you have some leeway with regard to hanging the hammock.
By using a new design, this stand can now bear an additional 40 kg.

Do I need extra mounting material?
You do not need any extra mounting material. All hammocks with stand are supplied in such a way that you can hang your hammock immediately.
The supplied chains allow you to hang your hammock a little tighter or looser.
How to clean this hammock with stand?
Can this hammock with stand be left outside?
Hammock: No hammock can be left outside all year round. Fortunately, it is not a problem if this hammock gets wet once. Make sure that the hammock dries again as quickly as possible afterwards. If you are not using the hammock, we recommend storing it dry and not leaving it outside.
Hammock stand: You can leave this hammock outside. But of course you want to enjoy your stand for as long as possible. That is why we recommend that you store it dry in the autumn/winter and protect it from extreme weather conditions and dirt.
Does the wooden hammock stand need extra protection?
The wood is impregnated so that you can enjoy it for a long time! Discoloration and small cracks in the wood are normal for wood, but the stand will not rot thanks to the impregnation.
The hammock stand will turn grey over time. By treating it (after cleaning), you can prevent or remedy this process. You can treat the stand with oil, stain or lacquer.
What is the warranty on this hammock with stand?
The warranty for a wooden stand is 1 year from the date of purchase. If the wooden hammock stand shows material or manufacturing defects within 1 year, we will repair or replace the stand.
The warranty applies to material or manufacturing defects. This warranty does not apply to product parts that are subject to normal use or weather influences. Small cracks are not covered by the warranty.
The hammock is shorter than the specifications?
When you receive this hammock with stand, the hammock will initially be slightly shorter than the specifications. A hammock is made of fabric and will therefore still stretch.
Because cotton grows, blooms and is processed differently in each country, the extent to which the hammock can stretch also varies.
